Mustangs at MOSI
Classic Mustangs of Tampa, Florida, put on a great show at the Museum of Science and Industry
As much as we'd like to go to every Ford show each year, there are so many all over the country, there's no way we can make them all. That doesn't mean we don't want to be there or see the latest and greatest happenings in the Ford world.
Knowing that we can't be at every show, Classic Mustangs of Tampa sent us a story and photos from their 24th Annual Mustang, Shelby, and Ford Roundup. From the pictures Linda Wehler took, we can see that we'll have to make next year's show. Here's some show notes from Kevin Riley, president of Classic Mustangs of Tampa.
If your club has recently held a show or has plans for one in 2006, send us photos and a short description. We'd love to hear about it!
Classic Mustangs of Tampa hosted its 24th Annual Mustang, Shelby, and Ford Roundup at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa on October 29, 2005. A large crowd of spectators turned out on the sunny, 80-degree day to enjoy the show's 189 cars.
The cars included everything from '64 1/2 through '06 models, and vintage Mustangs ranged from National Award-winning restorations to radically-modified Mustangs and everything in between. Power plants ranged from six-cylinder engines to the mighty 428 Cobra Jet, and several Shelbys were also on display. Late models included everything from stock V-6s to modified GTs, as well as Roush and SVT variants.
Approximately 20 to 25 '05-'06 Mustangs were in attendance, many with a variety of aftermarket upgrades, and a great assortment of special-interest Ford-powered vehicles, including early T-Birds, a Model A, Lincolns, and a rare late-'60s Mercury Marauder.
