Would you like the chance to win a huge prize, cash, and get your picture in MM&FF? If so, bring your street-legal machine out to the West Coast Shootout and get ready to have the time of your life racing for fun and lots of great performance products. The NMRA/NMCA West Coast Shootout will also feature heads-up drag racing, a huge car show, an autocross, and a giant manufacturers' midway.

"Source Interlink Media and our performance magazines are excited to meet and participate with Southern California street legal racers at the NMRA/NMCA West Coast Shootout event," said Doug Evans, Executive Vice President of Source Interlink Media and member of the SEMA Board of Directors. "SEMA and our industry are very committed to Racers Against Street Racing and a special event like this helps keep racing off the streets and on the track, where it belongs."

RASR brings the best performance magazines in the U.S. together with NMRA and NMCA sponsors to participate in Tremec True Street, a class designed for "true" street cars that are licensed, insured and capable of making a 10-20 mile police escorted cruise. The class will be contested on the Saturday of the event (July 9th) and each racer will run three back-to-back passes for an overall average e.t. Awards and prizes will be given away to the overall fastest competitor, runner up, and the closest averages to 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, 13-, 14-, and 15-second e.t. There are nine different winners in True Street with cars that range from mild to wild! Performance product prizes will also be given away to the runner-ups in each category. And there is a special bonus--Nitto Tire will sponsor a quick 16 heads-up race on Sunday consisting of the fastest 16 racers from Saturday's True Street class.
