The phenomenon that is the Speed Channel television show Pinks All-Out made it's way to our home state of New Jersey and the famous Englishtown Raceway Park welcomed the crew with open arms.

Our man behind the scenes WP Bailey told us that the open entry filled up in a matter of seconds, and that amounted to upwards of 500 race and street cars. Being in our back yard, we knew many of the names and faces so we spend two days down there checking out the amazing action. Friday was reserved for test and tune and the actual filming took place on Saturday.

More than just a drag race, the event encompassed some 25 camera, operators, dozens of production people, the on-air talent and lots of lights and extra equipment. It was amazing to see get a behind-the-scenes look at the "War room" where the drivers and their cars are scrutinized and selected.

Perfect weather made for two awesome time trial sessions and then the top 16 cars were picked, of which three of them were Fox Mustangs, one was a New Edge belonging to Mike Matarazzo and driven by NMRA world champ Don Walsh Jr. Leonard Long, of G-Force Racing Transmissions and the ever-popular Jim Chahalis also made the cut.

Since we plan on doing a complete story on how the day went down, we'll leave out the results from this story, but it's safe to say that some Mustang racers had a blast and even made a few bucks. You can look for full coverage of the action in an upcoming issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine.
