You can always count on Maple Grove Raceway playing host to fast cars and hot temperatures. At the '02 NMRA Ford Motorsport Nationals, it was more of the same, though the heat did keep performances from reaching optimum levels. Nonetheless, Maple Grove attracts the Northeast Mustang contingent, as well as the usual fast crowd that live close to the Maple Grove region. As such, the racing was tight in several classes, especially in the final rounds. Check out the captions for the full story.

Real StreetOur boys in Real Street showed up in droves at Maple Grove with 18 cars in attendance, and 11 of those qualified ahead of last year's champ Joffre Lafontaine. Those of you who follow Real Street know that Joffre started to take control this time last year. Will he return to his winning ways? Did Bruce Hemminger become the first Real Streeter in the nines?
