Every year on the first weekend in June the Carlisle, PA fairgrounds become a homecoming of sorts for thousands of Ford and Mustang owners nationwide. Not only will you see some of the finest, rarest, and most interesting Mustangs ever built, but you will cover acres of ground seeing Ford’s product line from just about every decade of production. Clubs like the Red Mustang Registry, Mach 1 Registry, Lincolns of Distinction, and many more all use the Carlisle Ford Nationals as group event, often competing in Carlisle’s best club area contest. No matter your fancy, be it late-model Mustangs, vintage Mustangs, trucks, full-size Fords of the ‘60s, drag cars, or modifieds, you can see them all at the Carlisle Ford Nationals each June. So strap on your comfortable walking shoes and be sure to schedule a full weekend to check out the event in its entirety. Dropping by for a Saturday afternoon just won’t cut it with this event, take it from us!

We took in the sites earlier this month ourselves and we were certainly not disappointed! From the huge show field of Mustangs to the specialty parking areas for trucks and other Ford brands there was plenty of gleaming chrome and painted steel to fill up your camera’s memory card. Vendors abound with new products, NOS and rare used parts as well. Unlike past events this year’s Carlisle Ford Nationals was chamber of commerce perfect with great weather and no rain! Check out this small sample of what we spied on the event grounds and stay tuned for a full event story in an upcoming issue of Mustang Monthly magazine!
