2019 Carlisle Ford Nationals Fox Mustang Gallery
Fox fans didn’t disappoint us with a huge display on the NPD show field
For 2019 Carlisle Ford Nationals celebrated several milestones, one of them being the 40th anniversary of the Fox chassis. To the uninitiated, the Fox isn't just our beloved 3rd generation Mustang. No, the Fox was used for many other build platforms including everything from the Fairmont to the Lincoln Mark VII. Special displays were featured in Building T and on the NPD-sponsored show field this year to commemorate this much-loved chassis.
While we enjoy anything with the letters F-O-R-D on the hood, or a blue oval badge attached, we're obviously partial to Mustangs here at Mustang-360, so as much as there were some cool Fairmonts, Mercury Capris, Thunderbirds, and the like all rolling on the Fox architecture, we will be focusing on the Fox-body Mustangs displayed on the main NPD-sponsored show field and the indoor or covered displays for this particular gallery.
The mix of Fox Mustangs was outstanding this year too! From early four-eye coupes and hatches to the 1993 Cobra model and everything in between the show field and special displays featured over 200 Fox chassis models. Like all Carlisle displays, there was certainly something for everyone. Stock Fox Mustangs; daily drivers with patina, rock chips, and all; and of course, modified Fox Mustangs with aftermarket wheels, superchargers, and body mods. Saleen Mustangs were displayed en masse and of we spotted plenty of cool rides like 7-Up, Feature convertibles, SVOs, Pace Cars, 20th Anniversary models, and more. You'll just have to check out the gallery to see them all for yourself!
Like our classic gallery we posted previously we know we probably missed a few. Between owners leaving early or taking their car to be detailed, dyno tested, or have products installed elsewhere on the fairgrounds, we surely missed a couple, and for that we're sorry. None the less, do enjoy this Fox gallery and if you spot a friend's ride be sure to let them know we got them in front of our camera.
