As explained in our first story on the event, the 2019 Mid America Ford and Shelby Nationals is THE event for Ford enthusiasts in the heart of the country, and it's like four events in one with road racing, drag racing, a cruise, and a car show spread out over four days. Check out the previous story on the overall event and particularly the road racing portion of it, and here you can see all the hot action from the dragstrip at Tulsa Raceway Park, on Saturday, June 15.

Like we mentioned in the previous story, Saturday's drag race day has historically kicked off in the morning, but the threat of rain forced event organizer Randy Roberts to move the start time to 2:00 PM. The threat of rain was just that, a threat, but the later time proved popular with the participants and cloud cover held down the temperature to the 80s. The stands were full, the highway patrol got called three times for blocking the road to the entrance to Tulsa Raceway Park, and the Ford tee shirt giveaway set a record. All in all, a success!
