The Petersen Automotive Museum recently celebrated founding member Bruce Meyer, one of the world’s leading car enthusiasts, with a enviable collection of the finest cars. The exhibition features 10 of his prime cars. Bruce only collects cars that are historically important and have an emotional impact with him personally. He does not care about investment value and he does drive them regularly.

One of the standout cars on display is the 1962 Shelby Cobra, CSX2001. This black beauty’s significance not only lies in it being the very first production Cobra but also in its storied racing history. Simply breathtaking!

Meyer’s favorite expression is “never lift” meaning don’t take your foot off the pedal, and that pertains not only to the cars he enjoys but also how he lives his life—Barry Meguiar calls Bruce “the ultimate car guy”

The exhibition runs through January 19, 2020 in the Bruce Meyer Family Gallery. Also, on the second floor, is a gallery of significant historical race vehicles. Don’t forget your cameras!
