One of the highlights of the Woodward Dream Cruise, and the largest single gathering of cars, is Mustang Alley at 9 Mile Rd. and Woodward Ave. Ford Motor Company owns this six-block stretch of 9 Mile starting Friday of the Woodward Dream Cruise, and fills it with nothing but Mustangs save for the new Ford vehicles on display at the entrance.

This year, the highlights of the Ford vehicles on display were of course the 2018 Cobra Jet Mustang turnkey race car and the newly designed Mustang NASCAR racer, as well as the GT supercar, trucks, and more. Beyond the Ford display was nothing but Mustangs, Mustangs, and more Mustangs. As you walk down 9 Mile, Mustangs lined both sides of the street and populated the small parking lots off to each side. A hundred yards or so down the road is the big Ford Performance display area that also houses displays from Shelby American, Gateway Classic Mustang, Classic Design Concepts, and more.

For Ford fans, especially those driven by Mustang, Mustang Alley is ground zero of the Woodward Dream Cruise. The rest of the 18-mile cruise route has plenty of Mustangs, sure, but there are also other makes in the mix including minivans and daily driver econo-boxes. Not Mustang Alley—it’s nothing but our favorite pony car. So check out this gallery of all the Mustangs on Mustang Alley at the 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise, which went down on August 18, 2018.22
