The Weekend after the Woodward Dream Cruise, our designer friend Murray Pfaff told us about a small car show that he was involved in, saying there would be a handful of cool Fords and Mustangs to check out, plus hundreds of custom Harleys, stunt riders, and rock concerts both days. So of course we had to check it out.

The Steel Wheels & Rock Weekend was held in the parking lots of Motor City Harley-Davidson in Farmington Hills, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The event was free and featured two days of Harley's, hot rods and music featuring—Stephen Pearcy of Ratt and Saliva—along with an awesome lineup of tribute acts. Plus there was over $10,000 in cash and prizes being given away at the car show, a rat rod contest, a Baddest Bagger contest, and a sound-off for the bikes. There were also tons of vendors on site and plenty of cold adult beverages and hot food to go around.

While it wasn’t a Ford-specific show, there were a handful of cool cars we thought you might want to check out, so we put together this photo gallery and video of crazy dudes on dirt bikes, including a 48 year old guy doing a 90-foot backflip. So enjoy!
