The retro styling of the 2005 Mustang was an instant hit, become a huge sales success for Ford and spawning a major push with exterior body mods for this generation. While the Fox generation saw cowl hoods and “whale tail” rear spoilers, and the SN-95 and New Edge kicked it up a notch with ground effects and side scoops, the S197 body style and its retro flare really took well to body modifications such as retro-looking Mach 1, Boss 302, and Eleanor looking body kits, but companies like Roush and Saleen really came into their own with exterior changes to make their turn-key rides that much more unique. The S197 has become a very affordable late-model Mustang, and while the 4.6L Three-Valve is a solid and reliable engine, it’s certainly no Coyote. However, bolting on a supercharger will quickly alleviate that concern!
