Those who can’t, never will, and those who can, will go out of their way to fulfill their dreams and never look back. Drag racing ranks right up there with one of the more adrenalin inducing rushes, but along with that excitement, there’s also an inherent risk that can change everything in a moments notice.

At the 2016 NMRA season opener at Bradenton Motorsports Park, Larry Albright went for a wild ride during his first round of qualifying in the QA1 True Street class that’s Presented by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. While big wheelies are awe inspiring, this one got out of control very quickly. Albright’s coupe ended up going well past the bumper with the parachute kissing the tarmac; this is where things got ugly by rotating the chassis and ultimately landing on its roof.

Thankfully Albright was safe and he was able to walk away from the crash, but his gorgeous Fox coupe on the other hand, turned out to be a complete loss. The good news is, the Blue Oval community is a tight-knit group and already doing their best to help Albright get back to the track.

We last heard that Power By The Hour has donated a clean 1986 coupe, and it’s just a matter of time before we see Albright behind the wheel doing what he loves.
