Sweet Vintage Broncos from the 2015 SEMA Show
A look at Ford’s other wild steed that just can’t be tamed
We’ve logged some serious miles of walking at the 2015 SEMA Show and while our eyes feasted on all the cool vintage and late-model Mustangs, we just can’t overlook the killer good looks of Ford’s other wild steed, the Bronco! From 1966-1977, the Ford Bronco was arguably one of the best 4x4’s available at the time. It featured a revolutionary coil sprung radius arm front suspension with a Dana 44 front differential and a robust Ford 9-Inch out back but the real treat was the small block Ford V8 that could be had in them.
The throaty V8 rumble along with the utilitarian characteristics and finely sculpted body lines of the Early Bronco is what made it such a hit back in the days and it’s still considered one of the coolest SUV’s to ever roll out of Detroit. Not surprisingly, the SEMA Show is filled with countless pristine examples to get the gears spinning in your head. One moment you’re admiring the clean Coyote V8 swap and the next thing you know you’re trying to figure out how to find one of these gems and make it your own.
Luckily we’re giving you all the Early Bronco eye candy you could ever ask for so sit back and enjoy this gallery of Ford’s other horse!
