One specific mod that Ford Mustang enthusiasts go for is the license plate modification, also known as the vanity plate. Whether it is a shortened clever phrase or a tiny bit of info regarding the ride it is attached to, there is no shortage of vanity plates when browsing Ford Mustang herds at any event.
The Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, was no exception when it came to these witty vanity plates, and we made sure to snap photos of them for this awesome photo gallery.
The infield of the prestigious Speedway was packed to the rim with Ford Mustangs of every generation and color under the sun (well, clouds) and it seemed like almost all of the Fords had their very own Ford vanity plates.
Some vanity plates were informative, some funny, and some just left you scratching your head for a few minutes as if it is some strange Ford Mustang puzzle or code that you just could not decipher. In that case, if you stared long and hard enough, it usually dawned on you making you feel like a big bag of rocks.
Now that Carly Simon has infiltrated your head (you are welcome), check out the gallery of vanity plates that graced the 50th Mustang Birthday Celebration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 16 – 20, 2014.
Vanity plates from all states graced all kinds of 'Stangs. Seven-up Fox-body Mustangs with "SVNUP" or "7 UP" or Boss Mustangs sporting "012 BOSS" or "MY BOSS" giving insight on the car just in case you had no clue what it was. Other clever plates such as "UN REEL", "MACHWON", and "TRAKATK" were among some of the plates we stumbled across during the event and that was just a handful out of hundreds.
If you don't own your very own vanity plate just yet, what would yours say?
