Do you have a stick-shift street car? Would you like to upgrade your transmission to a Tremec Magnum XL? Then you don’t want to miss the Tremec Stick Shift Shootout, which will be held as part of the 20th Annual NMRA Nitto Spring Break Shootout—March 6-9, 2014 in Bradenton, Florida.

Last year, the NMRA, Tremec, and MM&FF teamed up to bring you the Stick Shift Shootut. This special event took place alongside Tremec True Street, and stick-only TS competitors were able to qualify. The quickest two faced each other head to head in a best-of-three format. The winner, Jeff Smith, took home a Tremec Magnum six-speed transmission.

As one of the largest Tremec True Street events on the NMRA tour, the Spring Break Shootout is also the season opener for the all-Ford series. According to the NMRA:

2004 Ford Mustang Jeff Smith

“The staging lanes at Bradenton Motorsports Park will be bursting at the seams as over 100 entrants will battle for top True Street honors, with the fastest 8 stick cars receiving a special shootout plaque to recognize their prowess. From there things will heat up as the quickest two manual-equipped vehicles will have an all-out slugfest with a ‘winner takes all’ best 2-out-of-3 heads-up finale! The winner will go home with a brand new Tremec Magnum XL 6-speed transmission system valued at $3,500! The system fits all S197 Mustangs, easily handles up to 700 lb-ft of torque, and even comes with an SFI-certified bellhousing!”

Team MM&FF will be on hand for the festivities, so we’ll see you there!
