One popular red Mustang made a big splash at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 14, 2014. Jim Holloway of Mother’s Polishes and Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. collaborated on the build along with some big names in the auto industry where it made its big debut at the 2012 SEMA show inside Ford’s bright display.

With all proceeds benefiting charity, the car sold for a staggering $110,000 with all money going to TGen, the Barrett-Jackson Cancer Research Fund – a charity close to heart for the Mother’s family as well as the Jackson’s.

With Vaughn’s RTR (Ready to Rock) giving it that aggressive edge, it was taken to a whole new level with Mothers and Autosport Dynamics of Charlotte, NC. With the menacing stance, it only made sense for the car to have the power to back it up with the end result being 650+ horses.

All of Mothers builds are painted a red hue with this one being no exception sprayed with candy red – BASF R-M Onlyx HT two-stage Candy Carizzma paint now dubbed Mothers Red.

Many of the finishing touches were done at Mothers headquarters in California with the help of some of Mothers long-standing partners such as HRE, BASF, Magnaflow, American Racing, Stitchcraft, JRi, Reaus Systems, Whiteline, Deshler’s, and Kelly & Son the Crazy Painters.
