This year at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Carroll Shelby International is introducing “Shelby Row,” which will feature the largest collection of genuine Shelby vehicles, products, and memorabilia ever offered in one place at one time. Shelby Row is making its debut this week at Barrett-Jackson [January 12-19, 2014] in Scottsdale, Arizona with a display including Shelby American, Inc., the Carroll Shelby Engine Company, Carroll Shelby’s Store, DenBeste Motorsports, and Superformance.

“Carroll Shelby loved to gather good individuals together and then work to make them a collective great,” said Neil Cummings, Co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International. “His philosophy inspired us to create the Shelby Row, where we hope to offer enthusiasts everything they could possibly want.”

“The Row will combine Shelby American, two of its key dealers and the new Carroll Shelby’s Store, putting on display great performance vehicles and parts, as well as unique merchandise, apparel and memorabilia, all in celebration of Carroll’s cars and his life,” said Joe Conway, Co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International.

Shelby American is holding down Shelby Row with a 624 horsepower Shelby GT, Shelby GT500 Super Snake, as well as the Shelby 1000. If that wasn’t enough, Shelby American plans to unveil a new vehicle on Friday, January 17 in the media center during a press event.

“Scottsdale has become the epicenter of the automotive universe during January’s collector car week,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “Those who attend the auction love Shelby vehicles and appreciate their heritage. That’s why we’re so excited to be part of the largest Shelby presence ever at Barrett-Jackson and unveil our newest car.”

One of Shelby’s top dealers is DenBeste Motorsports which will have its big rig parked in Shelby Row. DenBeste offers CSX numbered Shelby continuation Cobras with built small- and big-block Shelby 289 and 427 supercharged engines through the Carroll Shelby Engine Company. DenBeste was founded by a personal friend of Carroll’s, Bill DenBeste, who has a partnership in the Biagi-DenBeste racing team running the #98 car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

“Carroll knew that I truly loved his cars,” said DenBeste. “He encouraged me to found DenBeste Motorsports to give others an opportunity to also enjoy the ownership experience. As part of Shelby Row, we hope to reach as many people as possible who want to learn about Cobras, and how they also can become a part of this unique, special family of Shelby owners.”

Also on display in Shelby Row is Superformance USA with a Shelby CSX9000 Daytona Coupe and a Carroll Shelby signature edition GT40 along with many other Shelby Cobra vehicles.

“During the 50th anniversary of the Daytona Coupe, we’ll display the Shelby CSX9000 Daytona Coupe continuation car at Shelby Row,” said Lance Stander, president of Superformance USA. “We plan to exhibit our Carroll Shelby signature edition GT40, as well as various Shelby Cobra vehicles. It will be a ‘performance paradise’ for enthusiasts.”

Along with the cars on display, the new Carroll Shelby Store offers a wide variety of Shelby products only available through the store and that includes apparel, memorabilia, limited-edition prints, and legacy items signed by Carroll.

“When we explored the concept of an official Carroll Shelby’s Store in Southern California, our licensees welcomed the idea of having a permanent home in the area,” said Tracey Smith, president of Carroll Shelby Licensing. “Bringing a sample of that store to Collector Car Week in Arizona will connect these key partners with even more people who love their products. It is a wonderful way for everyone to have an opportunity to celebrate the Shelby lifestyle.”

Shelby has been a big deal for a long time in Scottsdale when it comes to collector cars. Not only do Shelby vehicles bring in record sales, Carroll has made many vehicle launches and appearances.

“Carroll Shelby was a larger-than-life individual who gave the world amazing cars, products, and experiences,” said Steve Davis, president of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. “The companies associated with his name continue to deliver on that promise. Shelby Row is a perfect fit for Barrett-Jackson, which produces the World’s Greatest Collector Car auctions. We’re proud to host the largest Shelby exhibit in the history of our Scottsdale event.”

You can find Shelby Row in the midway near the auction staging lanes at the Westworld facility throughout the week.
