This Saturday, January 11, 2014, is the birthday of chicken-rancher-turned-automotive-legend – the one and only Carroll Shelby. The Petersen is celebrating the life and birthday of Carroll Shelby from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event is sponsored by Hillbank Motor Corporation and Superformance.

The event is cruise-in style and will include free parking for special interest vehicles as well as a 2-for-1 admission into the Petersen museum. All Shelby and Shelby replica vehicles will receive VIP parking.

Awards will be handed out for the best cars out there and, of course, the museum will be serving chili, one of Carroll’s all-time favorites.

Last year’s event was a huge hit with cars, so come out this year and help pack the roof top of the Petersen parking structure with Shelby vehicles of all shapes and sizes to honor the man who started it all.

Feel free to bring the family out for a good time and mingle with other Shelby and car enthusiasts and ogle over some of the beautiful cars in attendance.

Any questions regarding the event, feel free to contact sscott@petersen.org or call 323/964-6370.
