There is a pride that comes with owning and racing an SVT vehicle, not only does it look badass, but it is a top performer on the track. The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals are celebrating with the 2nd Annual SVT Shootout at Maryland International Raceway located in Mechanicsville, MD. This will take place the weekend of May 2-4, 2014, so mark those calendars.

The NMRA scene will now include SVT participants intertwined with NMRA’s racer community and car show enthusiasts to one of the largest all-Ford events of the year. Sponsoring the Terminator/GT500 Shootout class once again is VMP Superchargers. Each GT500/Terminator Shootout participant will receive free entry into the SVT True Street class (must fit True Street rules) on Saturday for more chances to win.

The SVT Lightning class will be back with a vengeance with a large number of trucks turned into drag strip dominators. Lightning enthusiasts won’t want to miss this one with the biggest Lightning shops out there (including Johnny Lightning Performance recently featured in MM&FF) will be making 8-second passes to compete for the best.

Presented by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, NMRA True Street is easily one of the largest classes in each NRMA event to run on Saturday. This year, the separate SVT True Street class will run with its own purses and prizes. Each participant will make three consecutive quarter-mile passes with $250 and a six-foot trophy awarded to the overall fastest. Also, $100 plus a custom plaque will be awarded to each racer possessing the closest average to 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, 13-, 14-, and 15-seconds. Those in the SVT True Street class will receive free entry into the NMRA bracket race on Sunday.

Enjoy the UPR All-Ford Auto Show with more awards (100+) to be given out at this event. Editors from Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords and NMRA’s Race Pages magazines will be walking around keeping an eye out for future feature cars. SVT will have its own auto show class and awards.
