1966 Shelby GT350 Crossing Mecum Auction in Anaheim
The Mecum auction is heading to sunny Anaheim soon and will run from November 21 - 23, 2013. One particular car, out of 750 collector cars, is a 1966 Shelby GT350 fastback scheduled to cross the auction block that Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time (Lot S163).
This immaculate Shelby GT350 Ford Mustang is sporting that Wimbledon White paint complete with the Blue Le Mans and rocker stripes. While it doesn’t say if the paint is original, it looks as if it stepped off of the showroom floor back in ’66. Many parts on this car are original to the car such as the interior and headliner, oil pan, valve covers, rear end, 9-spoke wheels (wrapped with BF Goodrich tires), and intake manifold. Other goodies include a GT40 cam, HiPo heads and a JBA exhaust.
If you are looking to escape the cold weather, a trip to the Anaheim Mecum auction in SoCal may be the perfect reason to leave those snow storms behind. Plan a trip with the family and run off to Disneyland just a few steps from the Anaheim Convention Center.
The doors open at 8 a.m. every morning and portions of each day will be broadcast live on Discovery’s Velocity Network. Also, a live stream of the entire Mecum auction can be seen at www.mecum.com. The website is updated daily with the latest rides including photos and descriptions of the vehicles. View this vehicle's description here.
