It’s about that time to start gearing up for the largest all-Ford NMRA event of the year held at Bowling Green, Kentucky on the weekend of October 3-6, 2013 – the 15th-Annual Nitto Tire NMRA All-Ford World Finals.

The city of Bowling Green will be buzzing with Fords, which is not uncommon considering that the city has played host to major Ford events since the first World Ford Challenge back in 1998. Fords and Mustangs of all kinds will be present from 7-second turbocharged Street Outlaws to wheelie performing Renegades and everything in between.

5.0 Mustang & Super Fords King of the Street competition will bring fifteen of the most powerful, well-engineered Mustangs from around the U.S. Each competitor will be judged on the quarter-mile track, horsepower and appearance with the winner taking home the King of the Street title.

The Tremec True Street class will be taking place here with an average of over 100 competitors over the past 3 years. Watch the craziest street-legal performance Fords battle it out on the strip.

Another fierce competition will be coming from the VMP Superchargers Terminator/GT500 Shootout. This will bring the fastest ‘03/’04 SVT Cobras and Shelby GT500’s to the starting line, racing heads-up for reputation and a year’s worth of bragging rights.

Winner of the Terminator/GT500 Class will get:

• $500 Win + Contingency + Acrylic Award

• $200 R/U + Contingency + Plaque

• $150 Semis

• $100 Quarters

Special plaques will also go to competitors who run the closest to 9, 10, 11, and 12-seconds. Also, top performers will be given awards for: Quickest 6-Speed, Quickest Stock Supercharger, Best Reaction Time, Hard Luck Award, Best Appearing Engine, Sportsmanship Award, Most Consistent, Best Appearing Interior, Quickest Stock Engine and Fastest VMP Supercharger.

No NMRA event is complete without a car show full of blue oval pride as show participants shine ‘em up and show ‘em off. The show will feature everything from late-models to early era Mustangs and Fords. The show will be held by UPR Products, and national magazine editors will be walking around the sea of propped hoods looking for future feature cars.

If you’re looking for something specific to install on that old Ford, the largest all-Ford manufacturer midway and swap meet will be set up at Beech Bend. Be sure to hit up the ATM beforehand so you can explore the great deals available to you here.

Last but not least, the flame-throwing 300+ mph jet cars will be making runs, and the world famous NMRA burnout contest will take place where past participants have shredded tires and blew up engines just for the cheering of spectators at Beech Bend.
