Nearing the end of Mustang Week, Friday and Saturday still had a lot of Mustang fun to offer everyone. On Friday, July 19, the 8th-annual Mustang Week car show was held at the Myrtle Beach shopping mall parking lot. Registration was from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the show running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Just when you thought there couldn’t be this many Mustangs in one spot, Friday’s sold out Mustang Week car show likely rocked your socks off. The parking lot was packed full of Stangs making the judging choices ridiculously hard for the Mustang Week staff. From barely modified to full-on show cars, the Mustangs’ hoods were propped up under the sun and ready for spectators.

Vendors and sponsors were positioned around the car show forming a midway full of manufacturers. Ford Motor Company supported the event with product and merchandise exhibits. During the whole show, the line for a Mustang Week t-shirt never seemed to die down.

To close out Mustang Week with a bang, Saturday, July 20, was the day for the Southeast’s largest Mustang and SVT Cruise-in from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The awards from Friday’s car show were given out at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon before folks jumped in their Mustangs and made the trek back home.

Folks lined the streets to watch, take photos and videos of all of the Mustangs pulling out of the car show. With an event like this growing each and every year, you can guarantee that next year’s Mustang Week will be incredible. So go ahead and make plans! Mark these dates – July 14-20, 2014 – on your calendar and we’ll see you next year!
