Each year we look forward to the first event of the year. For the past few years that event is National Parts Depot's Ford and Mustang Round-Up at Silver Springs Nature Park in Ocala, Florida.

Yeah, we know what you're saying. A Mustang show in January—are you crazy?! Actually, we are, but that's besides the point. In January, the weather here in Florida is unpredictable. A couple years ago, it was freezing cold. Thankfully, this time around it was beautiful, and Mustang fans came from as far away as Ohio to catch some rays.

Evidently, we weren't the only Mustang fans ready for a show. According to NPD's numbers, this Round-Up included 1,029 total Fords for both days of the show. With that number of Fords in attendance, dare we say the majority of that number are Mustangs? Old, new, and in-between, there's no shortage of Mustangs to ogle.

It's safe to say if you're looking for new ideas for your Mustang, you'll find plenty of fresh takes at the show. We saw more than one fresh idea to implement on future project cars. Speaking of those fresh ideas, you can take away a few from our photos.

Horse Sense: National Parts Depot recently added a 1979-1993 Mustang parts line to its vast inventory of automotive parts. These parts include reproduction items, as well as new old stock parts. The latter are Ford parts, not reproduction items. Some parts will only be available as reproduction items, but there are still many Fox parts available as NOS items.

At the end of the show on Sunday, NPD holds the awards ceremony for class winners and special interest awards. Here’s NPD Rick Schmidt giving last-minute instructions to trophy assistants Anna Schmidt and Katie Mozingo. When their name is called, class winners come up, receive their trophy from Anna or Katie, and have their picture taken. 5.0
