The recent John Force 2005 Holiday Car Show benefited the California Highway Patrol "ChiP's for Kids" toy drive. Held at the home of John Force Racing in Yorba Linda, California, on December 11, 2005, the show was an overwhelming success. With over 750 cars in attendance and 10,709 toy donations, it is the most successful in event history.

When we walked up to this group of good-looking Mustangs, we knew we were going to like the show, which was open to all years and brands of iron.
Attended by more than 18,000 participants, the show featured an autograph session with John Force and his daughter, Ashley, who is the driver of the Castrol/Hot Wheels A-Fuel Dragster. Also at the autograph session were Eric Medlen, driver of the Castrol Syntec Ford, and Robert Hight, another great Team Castrol driver.
Highlights of the show include appearances by Chip Foose, famous automotive designer and a regular on the television show Overhaulin', and by automotive legend Carroll Shelby. "To have Carroll Shelby as a guest made the event an extra-special occasion," Force said.

This awesome '63 Falcon belonging to Al Dufek is one of the cars we came to see. | The theme of outrageousness continues under the hood of Al's car. The high-compression 302 looks all-business with the bug catcher and dual quads. | Sometimes we had to wade through brand X to get to the good stuff. This '65 K-code Mustang fastback was typical of the quality of the cars on display. We told the kids that if they looked at too many Corvettes, they'd go blind. |
With Carroll Shelby in attendance, expect the Shelby folks to be out in force. This '69 GT 500 was too perfect to describe. | All varieties of Fords from the Total Performance years were represented. This replica Thunderbolt was so accurate, we could hardly tell it from the real thing. | Special-interest Fords were in abundance as well. This '57 Thunderbird ran at Daytona Beach during the '58 season. |
Even at a show that features cars of every kind, the special-interest Fords shine through. Want proof that older, full-sized Fords are highly sought-after and make great restomod projects? Check out this wild '64 Galaxie station wagon. It's tons of fun with seating for nine. | | |
