If Ken Belanger's 1967 coupe...
If Ken Belanger's 1967 coupe looks familiar, it should--the car was the centerfold feature in the March/April issue of the Summit Racing catalog. Capable of high 8-second quarter-miles, the Mustang has an owner-fabricated tube chassis and a 572 cubic inch, 900 hp big block. The front end is Shelby-style fiberglass.
Buckeyestangs.com recently held its 7th annual All-Mustang car show at the Summit Racing Equipment headquarters in Tallmadge, Ohio this past August. While Modified Mustangs and Fords was only there in spirit, we did have help from the folks at Summit Racing who did the legwork for us during the show so we could bring you event coverage.
The show was open to all years of Mustangs, but as you can see, the vintage cars were well-represented. If you're in the Akron, Ohio area or are just looking for a great show to attend next year, visit www.buckeyestangs.com for more information, as we're sure they will be planning another event for 2011.

You didn't think you would get away without seeing a red Mustang, did you? This 1966 coupe looks factory, but instead of a 289 and a four-speed, it has a 5.0L with GT-40 cylinder heads and a T-5 five-speed.

"Whoa dude, awesome blower!"...

"Whoa dude, awesome blower!" Yes, there's a Weiand 142 series supercharger atop the Boss 302 crate motor in Dennis Sayre's 1965 fastback. Dennis wanted a car similar to the street machines from the late '60s and 1970s, so he outfitted the Mustang with a 4.11-geared 9 in. axle, a four-speed, and big rubber out back. The car does 11.70s in the quarter-mile.

John Thompson's 1969 Mach 1 sure is pretty. But don't let the looks fool ya--it packs a 428SCJ complete with Drag Pack and a four-speed Toploader.

Even though most 1969 Mustangs...

Even though most 1969 Mustangs were coupes, everyone seems to build or restore the fastbacks. That's why Ron Nice's silver 1969 hardtop was a standout amidst the sea of Mach 1s and GTs.

Don Wilcox's 1969 Mach 1 is...

Don Wilcox's 1969 Mach 1 is one smooth-looking restmod. But its what's under the 2008 Corvette Ultra Blue paint that makes this Mustang special--the supercharged 4.6L 4V, six-speed transmission, and independent rear suspension from a 2004 "Terminator" Cobra.

The Mach was just five weeks out of the garage when Don brought it to the show.

We didn't get the name of the owner of this 1967 Shelby GT-350, but he was kind enough to inform us via the window card that the car was Number 26 off the Shelby assembly line, built on October 4, 1966.
