Bob Perrine (near lane) launches his notchback in the final round of Sunday's Quick Ford eliminator against Frank Parks. Perrine's 9.684 on a 9.61 dial-in wasn't quite enough, however, as Park's .076 second starting line advantage proved to be the difference in his winning run.
In the heads-up index classes, Borla Street Bandit saw R.L. Smith upset the championship points race with a victory while Saleen Speedlab Street Stang was clinched by Tom Conrad Jr.
The Showdown bracket classes saw Jon Pickering solidify his bid for the season championship with another victory in his venerable Mustang II while Paul Gamino scored a win in what has to be the most expensive Ultra Stang ever. Robert Chuhran scored his second consecutive victory in Tough Truck while David
Higgins was the winner in the $5k Challenge class.True Street, always one of the favorites of all the Fun Ford classes, drew 66 entries at Richmond. Will Williams led the field after time trials with a 10.598 average while Sean Dwyer was the Quick 8 winner on Saturday. The True Street bracket race on Sunday was won by Timmy Watts.

Local racer Shelley Smith had a good showing in Street Renegade at Richmond with a first-round victory before coming face to face with a resurgent Travis Franklin. Smith cut a light on the defending champ, but came up short in an 8.186 to 7.661 victory by Franklin.
