Texas Thunder Nationals On Your Mark
True Streeters came out in droves in Houston, with a total of 77 entries counted. The two quickest guys were William Calcote and Jason Roberts, who ended up duking it out in the Quick 8 final.

Texas Thunder Nationals Best Of Show
One of the most stunning vehicles at the event was this restomodded classic Mustang coupe. It wasn't surprising that this car ended up winning Best of Show.
Texas Thunder Nationals Strictly Performance
You're pretty much guaranteed to have a good time at any Fun Ford event, as the guys from Strictly Performance demonstrate
Texas Thunder Nationals 2007 Mustang Gt
In his home state, former Ultra 'Stang champion S.D. Wheeler brought out his Tungsten Gray '07 Mustang GT to do battle once again. He ended up winning the class when he tree'd Lloyd Mikeska in the final.
Texas Thunder Nationals New Edge Mustang
Taking the concept of Shredder paint schemes to a new level was the New Edge Mustang belonging to Street Bandit driver Dan Brodahl.
Texas Thunder Nationals Big Winner
The big winner in the take-no-prisoners Street Outlaw class was Grant McCrary, who not only qualified top of the pile, but managed to stay in the game right until the end. Running against Conrad Scarry, McCrary, after a slow start, caught and passed the former champ, crossing the line in a winning 6.882 seconds.
Texas Thunder Nationals 2007 Renegade
Another driver looking to make his mark in front of a home crowd was '07 Renegade Champion Travis Franklin. Unfortunately, his race ended in the semis, after he red-lit against eventual winner Angel Padilla.
Texas Thunder Nationals Burnout
Smoke billows from the rear skins of Scarry's car as he gets set to make another pass. A decent finish in Houston allowed him to maintain his championship lead, even if it was by a whisker.
Texas Thunder Nationals Texas Bbq
Texas just wouldn't be Texas without some good ol' tasty mesquite barbeque-don't you agree?
Texas Thunder Nationals Sheby Gt500
This stunning Shelby GT500 received the Modified Mustangs & Fords Editor's Choice Award. The pictures really don't do this car justice.
