With a whirlwind of new products and parts at the SEMA show, it was hard to narrow it down to just a few that would fit the classic Ford Mustang. Whether restoring your ride to FoMoCo factory standards or building a restomod, here are a few products that may be helpful for you to restore your classic Mustang.

Custom Instrument Bezels
If you own a classic 1965-1966 Mustang, you know that the factory dash never allowed for a tachometer, speedometer or other gauges. Thanks to Scott Drake, a new six-hole bezel was introduced giving the dash a clean new look whether wood grain, black or a brushed aluminum appearance. If going for the brushed look, Scott Drake offers a glove box to match.

Scott Drake also produces steering wheels available in 14- and 15-inch diameters. One of the steering wheels that Scott Drake produces is a Shelby GT350 replica. We know that some cars didn’t come with a horn incorporated into the steering wheel, but with these new steering wheels you can add horn functionality. This is especially cool for the Shelby-style wheels considering that the horn was a button on the dash instead.
The guys at TMI Upholstery have been ridiculously busy bringing us the latest in upholstered seats for all makes and models. At the SEMA show, they brought a bunch of seats for the classic Ford Mustang. TMI used grommets to keep your car stylish on the inside as well as the outside.
Not only does TMI offer specialty seats, it also offers full length consoles if yours has seen better days. Check out some of the seats for the earlier Mustang models.

Planning a transmission swap? This new product is here to link up your old-school speedometer with an electronic transmission. This little device allows for the mechanical-cable speedometer to be used when partnered up to a modern drivetrain. The supplied cable is 36” in length.
With quiet operation, the ECD-100 can be placed inside of the car’s cabin. The case is waterproof which means it can be mounted under the hood if need be, or inside of the fender well. No DIP switches to mess with, just a simple remote mounted switch that needs simple calibration.
Hotchkis Sport Suspension
1964-1966 TVS Suspension System
Here we have a total bolt-on suspension system for the earliest model Mustangs from Hotchkis Sport Suspension. This TVS (Total Vehicle System) is made specifically for the 1964-1966 Mustang and improves handling and driver control while making the car more fun than it already is. Now you’ll be coming up with every excuse in the book to take the car out for a joyride.
The front coil springs give a ½-inch drop with stiff 700 lbs/in spring rate while the rear leaf springs lower the vehicle 1 ½-inches with 180 lbs/in spring rates. This gives the car an aggressive stance and lowers the center of gravity to improve weight distribution without any sacrifice to ride quality.
Most of the ’64-66 Mustangs did not come equipped with a front sway bar or it was a flimsy single factory front sway bar, which didn’t help much with body roll. To eliminate body roll, Hotchkis provides a 1 ¼-inch (32 mm) 4130 tubular steel front Sport Sway bar that comes with upgraded bushings and end links, and is a direct replacement for the factory sway bar. It is also three-way adjustable for stiffer or softer response.
The sway bar kit includes premium mounting hardware including steel U-bolts, laser cut axle and frame mounts, polyurethane bushings, Grade 8 bolts, and TIG-welded steel “dogbone” end links with polyurethane bushings.
You can install the TVS suspension system with basic hand tools and it doesn’t require any cutting or permanent modifications. Keep an eye out because suspension systems for 1967-72 Mustangs will be arriving shortly! Everything is manufactured here in the U.S.

Billet HD Amp High-Output Alternator
If you’re ready to chuck that old factory alternator out the window, check out Flaming River’s new Billet HD Amp High Output Alternators. With new technology and increased efficiencies over factory alternators, this product features excellent output even at extremely low RPMs. That means more horsepower to the wheels and less energy wasted in the form of heat.
These alternators operate safely at shaft speeds of 20,000+ RPM. With this high RPM capability and incredible output at speeds as low as 400 RPM, a wider range with more flexibility is at hand with the crankshaft pulley of choice.
This Billet HD Amp Alternators use Twin Rectifier Plates with twice as many diodes than a stock alternator. Keeping the temperature low in the engine compartment means cooler internals that last longer than any other alternator out there.

If you’re looking for the perfect addition to your next early model Mustang project, check out the gStreet Back-Half Kit available for the 1967-1968 Ford Mustang. This kit will come shipped to your door completely welded together and will include all the metal from the cross-member back. The cutouts in the cross-member are meant for exhaust and it would pair well with a 9-inch rear end.
Not only that, the complete kit includes all of the pre-fabricated sheet metal panels to finish the floor, driveshaft tunnel, rear bulkhead, wheel tubs, and trunk.
Quick Fuel Technology
QFI Electronic Fuel Injection System
Here is a bolt-on throttle body electronic fuel injection system that is capable of supporting 500 horsepower. Sure, you’ve seen these bolt-on systems around the market, but according to QFT, this patent-pending QFI is different than the rest.
It combines the superior fuel atomization aspects of a carburetor with the fuel control of EFI. The QFI delivers incredible fuel delivery and features an 8-hole design for annular discharge sleeves to inject fuel into a Venturi where the speed of air is at its highest and pressure is at its lowest. This is more efficient than any traditional injector nozzle. The results are more homogeneous fuel/air mixture that burns quicker and with more accuracy producing a better response and better yet – more power.
Included with the QFI is an on-board ignition driver (no spark box necessary) and complete timing control that features an integral two-step rev control. QFI includes programming solutions such as self-learning, a hand-held controller, or laptop tuning.
The QFI was created to fit 4150 and 4500 style flange intake manifolds, and the fuel delivery comes from 62 lb/hr injectors. This system is compatible with power adders including nitrous oxide, superchargers and turbochargers and with a few little modifications it can be used with E85 fuel.
Two finishes are available – Black Diamond black satin finish or polished aluminum. You can order just the Base Kit or opt for the Master Kit that includes an in-line fuel pump and fittings.
4-lug SFI 15.1 Drag Race Drive Wheels
Another exciting product to help the exterior of your Fox-body is the 4-lug SFI 15.1 Drag Race Drive Wheels by Weld Racing. These wheels are a 3-piece modular wheel that uses unique welded assembly process. It features that classic 5-spoke appearance and uses the forged billet center and cold forged rim shells.
This comes from the RT-S product line and offers the 4-lug bolt circle pattern that fits the 1979-1992 Fox-body Mustang as well as the 1983-1988 Ford Thunderbird. This is another proud American-made product to outfit our favorite American car.
